Leh must be one of the most beautiful places in the world. Definitely the most beautiful place that I've been. And the highest altitude I've ever experienced- I was out of breath most of the time. But landscape aside, Ladakhi culture is even better yet. I didn't get to experience much on a personal level, but Ladakhis really seem to have it down. From large gardens, to solar panals, to being an almost completely self sustaining and waste-free society to being completely and totally happy and content, I was really impressed and amazed with "Little Tibet". I really wish I could have spent a lot more time here and connected with an NGO, but my traveling is coming to an end. Maybe I'll come back one day.

Wow, it is beautiful.. it does remind me of Tibet and northern Nepal, the highlands beyond the Himalayas. Too bad you couldn't stay longer!
