Jodhpur was a very beautiful place to stop through. It is known especially for Mehrangarh Fort, which is a huge and impressive complex some 500 years old. Jodhpur is also known as the Blue City because many of the houses in the old city portion belonging to Brahmins (the highest and priestly caste) were traditionally painted blue. It would have been nice to spend more time in this colorful city and also nice if it weren't so oppressively hot this time of year.
